Anti-Ragging Orientation Program was conducted on 12th August 2024 at MGM Medical College, Nerul, Navi Mumbai. The orientation was organized by the Anti-Ragging Committee. During the session, anti-ragging guidelines and policies were highlighted. In addition to various lectures, poster competitions and a skit based on anti-ragging themes were also conducted.
The introduction session was taken by Dr. Motiram Khandode, Associate Professor, Department of Anatomy, where he discussed anti-ragging policies, followed by an orientation session by Dean Dr. Sandhya Khadse, Professor, Department of Paediatrics. Consequences and psychological impact of ragging were presented by Dr. Anju Dhar, Associate Professor Department of Microbiology, and Mrs. Neelanjana Mathur, Clinical Psychologist, respectively.
Skits based on the anti-ragging theme were written and narrated by Dr. Anju Dhar. The following faculty members participated in the anti-ragging skit: Dr. Manju Bhashini, Mrs. Neelanjana Mathur, Dr. Neha Jadhav, Dr. Varsha Deshpande, Dr. Ruchi Mishra, Dr. Alka Ramteke, Dr. Manisha Mishra, Dr. Pooja Sharma, Dr. Nihal Amrohi, Ms. Rashmi Surve, and Ms. Priyanka Verma.

Heads of various departments, members of the Anti-Ragging Committee, and faculty members attended the program. This initiative served as a proactive measure to foster a safe and respectful learning environment. By promoting awareness and education, the institution aims to eradicate ragging and create an atmosphere where every student feels secure and can focus on their academic and personal growth.
Ongoing efforts and periodic reviews will ensure the sustained success of the program in maintaining a ragging-free campus.
