“World ORS Day” is celebrated on 29 July 2024 to emphasise the essential role of ORS in combating dehydration caused by diarrhoea, the second leading cause of death among children under the age of five. Department of Paediatrics and Community Medicine, MGM Medical College and Hospital, Nerul celebrated ORS Day with a series of engaging and educational events like two programs at MCH and UHC Belapur and another in CBD- Belapur hospital (Workshop for nursing staff and students has been conducted and Rangoli competition for Nursing student). The ORS Day celebration at MGM Medical College and Hospital was a resounding success. The events not only educated attendees about the significance of ORS but also fostered a sense of community involvement in public health initiatives. The day served as a powerful reminder of the simple yet profound impact that ORS can have in saving lives and improving health outcomes.
